Montage ridge senior living7/26/2023 Be very vigilant if you decide to admit your loved ones to this long term care facility. Unfortunately my Dad's neglect was the catalyst for the potential change. I believe they might be on the right track and have replaced certain staff members. Since talking with the DoN, Social Director and Executive Dir. Laundry, personal grooming, very dirty floor, clogged toilet for over 24hrs, lost and stolen items, lost dentures, no remote for tv, and just plain neglect in some cases. A long laundry list of very basic services continued to not be met. I have since had a meeting with the executive director to see about compensation because this place is not inexpensive. After pointing out the areas where they were failing it took another week to yet again express my complete dissatisfaction. They were in the middle of staff changes so I wasn't too quick to judge although that should not have had an affect on my fathers care regardless. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a week plus. Joe555 We were not happy at all with our experience at Brookdale (long term care). I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Hopefully it is because they are ashamed of the lack of service provided and the way my mother was treated there. ![]() My mother has since passed but do you think one of the members of the management team at that facility (that I spoke with on a regular basis about my concerns) could have offered a call, email or note of condolence? No. Brookdale is solely a money generating enterprise, only concerned about making a profit and not caring at all about their residents or their caregiving staff. I have photographic and written documentation of all of the complaints I have listed above. The list of complaints is lengthy starting with being charged for personal care that was not being provided, paying for meal delivery service and only receiving part of what was ordered which was always cold and several times a week not being given silverware to eat it with, having the weekly cleaning of the apartment included in the rent to only have it cleaned (if you can call it that) a handful of times in 10 months, to the lack of skill or compassion of many of the caregivers. Jaribar I'm sorry to have ever let my mother become a resident at the Green Mountain Brookdale. I never got around to it, and it got cold. We told them that we had just eaten lunch. ![]() My mom had been and still is refusing food, so they were concerned enough to get us each a plate to try, but I didn't try it. They offered food in fact, they sent my dad and I back with a couple of plates to try their food. They showed us the memory care area, but we didn't go back into the skilled nursing. They showed us a library, a dining room, an exercise area, and a physical therapy section. She needed two-people assist out of bed and into chairs, and into the bathroom, and they couldn't handle that. They set up an interview at the place that Mom was staying at and they got back to me and said that they couldn't. I was trying to get my parents put in there because that place is a mile and a half from my house. We toured the facility and we got everything set up. The project hopes to grow 30 million heads of lettuce a year for sale to local grocery stores and restaurants and distribution throught the Northeast.Mike Montage Ridge seemed interested, but after interviewing my mom, which is the one we needed assisted living for, they said that they couldn't help us. North Country Growers in New Hampshire is getting a $19.9 million guaranteed loan to build and operate a 20-acre hydroponic greenhouse to grow lettuce and other leafy greens year round, he said. “Thanks to our partnership with federal officials, including Secretary Vilsack’s Department of Agriculture, we’re making significant progress in tackling food insecurity and leading the way in developing new approaches to create more healthy food options in our city,” Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig said. The market sells fresh fruits, vegetables and other products grown by immigrant farmers, some of which are distributed via a community-supported agriculture program. He spoke during a visit to the Fresh Start Market in Manchester, New Hampshire. “We’re here to underscore the important role that local and regional food systems play for American agriculture and farmers, and to announce $320 million of variety of loans and grants which are designed to strengthen the supply chain, to make the food system more resilient and to create a number of opportunities for mid- and small-size operators,” he said. Department of Agriculture is seeding agricultural producers and food businesses with millions of dollars in investment funds to improve markets, create and strengthen jobs, control food prices and improve nutrition, Secretary Tom Vilsack said Thursday.
